Little did we know back in 2005 that a small motorcycle ride would grow and keep growing to help so many children with Autism and their families. It all started with a couple of guys from UAW Local 245 sitting around at break time wanting to do something to help a fellow co-worker Kevin Chrenenko, Kevin has a son name Victor. Victor has Autism. That is how this great non-profit organization “Ride For Autism” was born. To show the BIG HEART that the Chrenenko Family has, they did not want a dime that was raised through this GREAT Event. Instead, Kevin suggested that we donate the money to the local Autism Society of America (ASA) Chapter in Macomb County, Michigan. He said it will benefit many more families than just his. So upon The Chrenenko’s suggestion, that is exactly what we did. In 2005, Ride For Autism at their first Event had 56 bikes, traveled a 60mile route and raised $8,000 . We have rolled past our fifth year anniversary. We are proud to say we have raised over $55,000 that benefits Macomb / St. Clair County ASA, SE Wayne County ASA and Autism Connections of the Judson Center. Ride For Autism has started the planning of the 6th Annual Ride For Autism and we are working to make it BIGGER and BETTER then in the past years! So save the date of Saturday, August 7, 2010 and join us in a Great Ride, all for a GREAT CAUSE!!!

Ride For Autism is 100% Non Profit Organization. No member of their Executive Board receives a penny for what they do all year on preparing this event. The money is donated to Local Autism Enrichment Organizations for Autistic children and their families to benefit NOW! All it takes is a smile from one of the Autistic children, the smiles on the parents faces and that is enough reward for Ride For Autism Executive Board Members.

Stacy doing a GREAT job at getting the word out about Ride For Autism!!!
