The Chrenenko Family
Victor getting ready to get things started in 2007

Little did we know back in 2005 that a small
motorcycle ride would grow and keep growing
to help so many children with Autism and their
families. It all started with a couple of guys
from UAW Local 245 sitting around at break
time wanting to do something to help a fellow
co-worker Kevin Chrenenko, Kevin has a son
name Victor. Victor has Autism. That is how
this great non-profit organization “Ride For
Autism” was born.
To show the BIG HEART that the Chrenenko
Family has, they did not want a dime that was
raised through this GREAT Event. Instead,
Kevin suggested that we donate the money to
the local Autism Society of America (ASA)
Chapter in Macomb County, Michigan. He said
it will benefit many more families than just his.
So upon The Chrenenko’s suggestion, that is
exactly what we did.
In 2005, Ride For Autism at their first Event had
56 bikes, traveled a 60mile route and raised
$8000.00.
The 2nd Annual Ride For Autism in 2006 had
136 bikes, traveled a 65 mile route and raised
$11000.00.
In 2007, two more local ASA Chapters joined on
board with us, S.E. Wayne County and
Livingston County. We had 90 bikes, had a 72
mile route to travel, but very wet weather
greeted us on this day, so we did a direct route
from Biker Bob’s H-D in Taylor Michigan to
Cheli’s Chili Sports Bar in Dearborn, Michigan
and still raised $13000.00
Ride For Autism is 100% Non Profit
Organization. No member of their Executive
Board receives a penny for what they do all
year on preparing this event. The money is
donated to Local Autism Enrichment
Organizations for Autistic children and their
families to benefit NOW! All it takes is a smile
from one of the Autistic children, the smiles on
the parents faces and that is enough reward
for Ride For Autism Executive Board Members.
